Victoria Travis Jackson Memorial Scholarship – Aaliyah Conley, Westlake High School
Aaliyah Conley is a recent graduate of Westlake High School and an aspiring healthcare professional who will attend Mississippi State University in the fall of 2025 to pursue a degree in nursing. Known for her compassion and leadership, Aaliyah has been actively involved in both her school and community, consistently demonstrating a strong commitment to service and academic excellence.
Throughout high school, she embraced leadership roles that reflected her passion for helping others and making a meaningful impact. Whether volunteering in local community programs, mentoring younger students, or organizing school initiatives, Aaliyah approached every opportunity with empathy, integrity, and determination.

Addison Sinclair Griggs, daughter of Mr. Robert L. and Mrs. Jaynaia A. Griggs, is a proud graduate of Global Impact Academy’s Class of 2025, where she completed a STEAM pathway with a focus in Engineering. A strong leader and academic achiever, Addison served as Vice President of the Technology Student Association, Parliamentarian of Future Business Leaders of America, and Student Council Representative.
Her commitment to service extended beyond school through active roles in the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter (GMAC) Teen Group, including Teen Host Chair, Teen Financial Secretary, and Teen Social Media Chair. She also served as Southeastern Regional Teen Legislative Chair and Regional Nominating Committee member. Addison was presented as a debutante in the 2024 GMAC Leadership Program and Debutante Cotillion.
Deeply engaged in civic advocacy, she facilitated legislative webinars, moderated voter education town halls, and completed over 100 volunteer hours with organizations like Hands on Atlanta and Meals on Wheels. Addison was crowned Miss Florida HBCU Junior Teen (2023–2024), selected for the Michigan Public Health Institute’s PHIRE Mentorship Program, and won top awards in FBLA competitions.
Accepted to over 25 universities, Addison will attend Florida A&M University, where she plans to double major in Sociology and Psychology, pursuing a career in the medical field.
Pota Estel Coston Memorial Scholarship – Adefolake Adewusi, Whitewater High School
Adefolake Gloria Adewusi is a proud graduate who is passionate about leadership, service, and growth. Raised by her mother, she learned early the importance of resilience, faith, and gratitude—values that continue to shape who she is today. Throughout high school, she was actively involved in a wide range of activities, balancing leadership roles, academics, and service.
Adefolake served as Class President all four years on the Executive Board and was an engaged member of several clubs and honor societies, including HOSA, Sources of Strength, Math Team, Spanish Tutoring, and the Black Student Union. These experiences helped her grow as a communicator, team player, and advocate.
Academically, she was honored as a REACH Georgia Scholar and remained committed to excelling in her coursework. She also pursued her passions in music and athletics—playing piano since the age of five and earning first-chair positions in orchestra, while receiving accolades in track and field, including the Most Outstanding Field Athlete award.
Beyond school, Adefolake volunteered with Hope Diamond Services, helping to feed low-income children, and supporting Spanish tutoring programs. These service experiences further deepened her passion for medicine.
She plans to major in Biology or Biochemistry on the pre-med track and minor in Spanish in college. Each challenge and opportunity have helped her stay grounded in her faith, family, and unwavering commitment to building a life of purpose and service.
Fortitude Educational and Cultural Development, Inc. Scholarship – Aubrey Jordan-Yabrough, DeKalb School of the Arts
Aubrey Jordan-Yarbrough is a graduate of the DeKalb School of the Arts High School, where she majored in Visual Arts and minored in Orchestra (Violin). As a high school student, she served on several executive boards, including Student Government, National Arts Honor Society, and the DeKalb County Youth Commission. While in high school, she was inducted into the National Honor Society and served as the DSA student representative on the DeKalb County School Board’s Principal Advisory Council.
As a member of the Veritas Debate Institute’s 2023 cohort, Aubrey participated in Harvard’s Summer Debate Residency Program, where the VDI team was named the winner of the summer residency. While leading several art education initiatives and painting murals throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area, she earned her Girl Scout Gold Award in 2024 for a project that uses visual arts techniques to address mental health challenges. Her project was later adopted by DeKalb County’s Performing Arts Department.
Aubrey plans to major in Political Science on a Pre-Law track at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, aspiring to become a prosecutor and legislator.

East Point/CollegePark Alumnae Chapter -Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship – Ava Williams, Westlake High School
Ava Williams is a recent graduate and Top 25 scholar from Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. A dedicated student, she maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school, excelling in AP, IB, Dual Enrollment, and Honors coursework. Beyond academics, Ava was deeply involved in leadership and service, serving as president of Women of Westlake, social media coordinator of Beta Club, treasurer of the National Honor Society, Concert Master and Principal Violinist of the Advanced Chamber Orchestra, and Miss Beta Club in her senior year.
As a former varsity cross-country and track and field athlete, Ava’s path shifted after being diagnosed with hip dysplasia during her sophomore year—a condition in which the hip bones do not align properly, causing significant lower body pain. Despite undergoing surgeries and recovery, Ava remained focused on making the most of her high school experience. Her journey inspired a passion for sports medicine and athletic recovery.
Ava plans to major in Biology-Pre Health with a minor in Psychology at Alabama State University, with a long-term goal of earning a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and supporting the physical and mental health of future athletes.
Harvey Newton Memorial Scholarship – Dallis Mobley, Westlake High School
Dallis Mobley is a proud graduate of Westlake High School, where she participated in the Math and Science Magnet Program and the IB Certificate Program. Throughout high school, she served in several leadership roles across a variety of clubs and organizations. She was an active member of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, Student Government Association, DECA, and 21st Century Leaders.
Dallis was also a member of the prestigious Blue Reign team, performing with the Mighty Marching Lions Band, as well as The Mane Attraction Competitive Dance Team. Beyond her school involvement, she served as the Teen Chapter President of the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
Dallis will attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in the Fall of 2025. Her career goal is to become a marketing executive specializing in brand management.

Destiny Mitchell is a 12th grade student at Westlake High school, where she is actively involved in both academic and extracurricular activities. Known for her dedication and strong work ethic, Destiny maintains a 3.7 while participating in Varsity Cheer and The Beta Club. Outside the classroom, Destiny is passionate about writing and volunteering.
Destiny is especially interested in pursuing a future in journalism where she is going to become a news reporter.
In her free time, Destiny enjoys listening to music and hanging out with her friends. Whether it’s working on her personal goals or helping others, she strives to be a role model for her peers and a force for positive change.
Robert J. Holmes Memorial Scholarship – Isaiah Edmondson, Newton High School
Isaiah Edmondson is a Top Ten graduate of Newton High School and a former STEM student at Newton College and Career Academy in Covington, Georgia. With a passion for science and service, he excelled in rigorous coursework, completing 14 AP classes, including AP Research. He also actively mentored younger students and led community service initiatives.
Faith has been the foundation of Isaiah’s journey, guiding him to lead with compassion, perseverance, and purpose. His achievements reflect the values instilled in him by his family, faith, and community. Isaiah plans to pursue a career in medicine, combining his love for STEM with his desire to make a meaningful impact. His goal is to serve underserved communities and improve healthcare accessibility.
Outside of academics, he enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, listening to music, collecting fragrances, and playing video games—hobbies that keep him balanced and motivated. Receiving the FECDC Robert J. Holmes Memorial Scholarship is an incredible honor, and Isaiah is deeply grateful for the support. Curly Mattox Memorial Scholarship – Jacob Pitts, Westlake High School
Jacob Pitts is a proud graduate of Westlake High School, where he excelled academically through rigorous coursework, including IB Mathematics and AP classes.
With a strong passion for STEM, Jacob will be attending Alabama A&M University in the fall to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is driven by a love for innovation, problem-solving, and improving everyday life through technology.
During high school, Jacob was actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, including varsity football, culinary arts, photography, and a part-time job—all while maintaining a strong GPA and volunteering as a math tutor for younger students. He is known for his determination, resilience, integrity, and commitment to personal growth.

Johnson Family Scholarship – Karian Christmas, Newton High School
Karian Christmas is a graduate of Newton High School and Newton College and Career Academy. Her love and commitment to her academics is shown through being an All A Honor Roll student all four years, and one of the top ten graduating students in her class. Throughout her high school life, Karian demonstrated leadership as an Executive Committee Member for National Honor Society, Vice President of Beta Club, and the Secretary for the National Action Network Youth Chapter. She was also a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), the Teacher Appreciation Committee, Symphonic Band, a member of the Associate Board of Directors, a private tutor, a player on the Lady Rams Softball Team, and a member of the Delta G.E.M.S. She is also very active in her neighborhood, volunteering in the Homeowners Association of her subdivision.
Karian loves volunteering and giving back to her community. Along with accumulating over 325 community service hours with her different organizations and outside of school, she created and executed a three-day cursive writing workshop for fifth graders during a summer camp hosted in her home county where she taught the children how to write in cursive. Karian plans to attend Mercer University to major in Computer Science and double minor in Cybersecurity and Mathematics. Her desire is to continue to give back to communities and enrich children of all ages through educational technology of her own creation.

Pota Estel Coston Memorial Scholarship – Raegan Troutman, Sandy Creek High School
Raegan Troutman is a recent graduate of Sandy Creek High School in Fayetteville, Georgia, and will soon attend North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Some of her favorite memories are rooted in time spent on her family’s farm, where bonding over homemade desserts taught her the value of meaningful relationships.
Raegan will major in systems engineering because of its broad applications—from agriculture to transportation to government. She is particularly drawn to understanding how complex systems operate and how that knowledge can be used to solve real-world problems.
Her long-term goal is to study law and become a congresswoman. This ambition grew from her passion for Mock Trial. Founding her school’s team and participating throughout high school confirmed her desire to become a civil rights lawyer. These experiences also exposed her to ongoing social injustices and deepened her dedication to public service.
Outside the classroom, Raegan is an avid reader, music lover, and record collector. These creative outlets help her maintain balance while fueling her curiosity and passion.
She is deeply grateful for this scholarship, which not only supports her academic journey but also empowers her to pursue leadership and service.

Precious Uchehara is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2025 and a proud graduate of Langston Hughes High School. A dedicated student leader, she served as President of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Beta Club, Treasurer of the Student Government Association, and Treasurer of SkillsUSA. She was also an AVID Ambassador, an Upward Bound Scholar, and an active member of Book Club, Debate, Link Leaders, and Yearbook.
Precious participated in Work-Based Learning and Dual Enrollment and successfully completed the Spanish, Film, and Entrepreneurship Pathways. She consistently earned Principal’s List honors since elementary school and is a proud recipient of the Zell Miller Scholarship.
After receiving multiple college acceptances, Precious will attend Georgia Tech to major in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, shopping, reading, cooking, and finding new ways to stay productive. Precious is passionate about leadership, service, and building a future as a financial analyst and entrepreneur.
