PURPOSE OF THE AWARDS

The Fortitude Educational and Cultural Development Center Inc. presents The Pinnacle Leadership Awards, which recognize local minority women, men and youth who are deeply committed to the community and who have made contributions to society and impacted the lives of others. These awards are presented annually to leaders who have achieved success in a chosen field and who personify the highest standards of service, leadership, and character. Recipients of this award demonstrate outstanding public service achievements. The awards are open to any Georgia resident who meets the criteria.

AWARD CRITERIA

  1. Meaningful contribution(s) to the community through their respective profession.
  2. Notable ways the individual has influenced the community through their leadership roles.
  3. Quantifiable action(s) of service by the individual that have opened doors for underrepresented groups or diverse communities.
  4. Outstanding public service in the category for which they are nominated.
  5. Demonstrable commitment to professional excellence in the nominee’s primary field.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

  1. Complete the Nomination Form.
  2. Complete a Nomination Statement in support of your nominee’s candidacy identifying specifically how and why the nominee meets the criteria for receiving a Pinnacle Award. The Nomination Statement may include additional attachments, such as news articles or press releases, which provide further relevant support for the nominee’s candidacy.
  3. Obtain a copy of the nominee’s 350 word biography.
  4. Obtain a copy of the nominee's resume
  5. Submit a print ready headshot
  6. Send all materials electronically by January 15, 2025.

Award recipients will be announced February 2025.
